Hive update 15th Sept 2012

Early morning hive inspection today as we needed to get in and check the hives before the

predicted rain set in. Both hives are looking very strong. Peters hive was treated with

Apivar last Saturday and today we did the same with the King Country Energy hive.

 

We decided that the hives needed feeding as both are only at one brood box, with lots  of

Brood and most of the honey stores which were with the hives gone. We’ll head back in a

couple of days to see how the bees are  going with their new food supply. Hopefully this

Will also boost the beginning of the honey flow.
